Well, I have been down the rabbit hole with technology today. My little action camera came for the time lapse videos I want to do, so I decided to make a little getting to know you video to figure out editing and all of that good stuff. It took me the better part of the afternoon to put this silly video together, but I am stupid proud of it. I hope you Like it and until then, see you next painting!

Welcome to Stoic Rabbit Studio

Hello out there in the miasma! Welcome to my blog. I've been busy trying to figure out how to internet so I can put together a wee web presence. I am a self-taught artist living in the foothills of eastern Kentucky. I have 2 beautiful children and a surly but doting husband. I have watched a LOT of art videos and read a LOT of blogs along my journey and many times it has helped put my head right when I get wound up about things. Plus, let's face it, drawing and painting are usually pretty solitary activities, some company would be nice. I enjoy making my mark and I enjoy watching other people make their marks, so I thought I would add my voice to the modern art digital cacophony. 

This is Thumper Rabscuttle, AKA BinkyBones, my own personal stoic rabbit. I wanted a pet, but I ended up with a muse. he is a fascinating creature, a little sassy and a lot sweet. I guess my goal for Stoic Rabbit Studio is to just get out into the art world and make all the things and share my journey with whomever wants to follow along. I'm working on making some speed-painting videos to put on YouTube and a dear friend of mine has me damn near convinced to start streaming art sessions on twitch. Right now I'm just kind of tasting things and seeing what flavors appeal to me. I am too absent minded and time deprived to get into a whole bunch of shenanigans, but hopefully this is the beginning of something super cool. 

So this is my introduction I suppose. I'll do something a little more in depth later, i just wanted to get a post going in here to see if I am doing right.
